Narnia

So I watched Narnia again the other night and it was awesome. I has been sooo long since I read the books (I am going to read them again over break) that the movie is a good refresher. I especially enjoy that goofy dwarf that gets shot and screams "eehhhhh". Hilarious!! Anyways, a couple things just stood out to me this last time that I overlooked or breezed over the first time. Some of these are:

1.)The blatant story of Salvation of course, but...the depth C.S. Lewis went to describe it. The whole significance of the stone table in the story. When the stone table breaks two things I thought. "man, this is like when the veil was ripped in the temple." But then the whole conversation of the true meaning of the Law and it hit me. The Old Covenant being broken because of the sacrifice. I thought it was pretty cool to think about.
2.)Again at the stone table, it was two women, sisters, who attended to Jesus when he died. Whatta ya know, two sisters were with Aslan.
3.)The irony in their royal titles Peter the Magnificent, Susan the Gentle, Edmund the Just, and Lucy the Valiant. It seems to me that each one is kinda the opposite of traits that each one showed throughout the movie. Peter's uncertainity and desire to avoid things; Susan's bluntness and tendency to "speak" her mind; Edmund's selfishness; Lucy's vastness of emotions (crying to laughing to crying), I mean she is like 8 yrs old...she is not meant to be brave. Its funny, Aslan saw past all that and saw their potential. He saw what they could be. Hmmm, kind of like Jesus with us. Interesting...

Ok thats all for now. If you would like more insights...let me know.
In the spirit of Christmas...check this out:
Some sweet music and christmas lights...
I love Trans Siberian Orchestra!!

Well, I loved that Aslan made everything, absolutely everything, right again. All those the White Witch froze, all the ones killed in battle...Those who knew him, i.e. were faithful to him, were allowed to live on with him in that awesome place. Very cool.
